- is owned by John and Rose Britton. John spent 35 years at the helm of the company founded by his father, Brotherton's Travel Service Ltd. Named Canada’s Travel Agent of the Year in 1990, John has served multiple terms in different offices of Skål International, an international association of travel and tourism professionals, and is recognized throughout the industry as a consummate professional. Rose was Comptroller for Windjammer Cruises before joining the Brotherton's family. Her expertise in financial administration was a perfect complement to John’s business management skills, and the couple ultimately found that a passion for travel was just one of many interests shared. In 2003, John and Rose closed Brotherton’s to create Oceans Away Cruise & Tours. They partnered with Canadian powerhouse Vision 2000 Travel Group and RADIUS, one of the world’s largest travel networks, to solidify their new company’s reputation and garner extra customer benefits. Today, Oceans Away enjoys an international roster of clients who repeatedly return for vacations featuring a level of service and satisfaction rare in today’s travel industry.
